Cheshire County Playing Fields Association

The Cheshire County Playing Fields Association (CPFA) Vision:

“People of all ages and abilities in urban and rural communities should have access to good quality outdoor facilities for a range of sports and recreational activities including children’s play”

CPFA Activities:
CPFA has a direct link to Cheshire and all the Boroughs in terms of the NPFA playing fields and the King George V playing fields including those in Macclesfield, Pulford, Warrington, Halton and Crewe.

CPFA continues to strive towards protecting playing fields, playgrounds and recreation areas within Cheshire and has developed links with the Education Department with regard to the future of school playing fields.

CPFA was an exemplar and leading role in the review carried out by NPFA/ County PFAs to justify the recently awarded Big Lottery Fund to NPFA. CPFA was one of the first counties to produce The Playing Field, which goes to all Town and Parish Councils in Cheshire and all Borough and County Council members promoting sport and play.

CPFA offer strategic planning, technical advice to Parish, Town, Borough and County Councils as well as community groups and local sports clubs. We developed a play area and a library resource facility for local parish councils.
CPFA has an historical role within Cheshire and offers advice on grants, The Licensing Act and CASC.
