INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT & ASSESSMENT
27th January 2010, Manchester Conference Centre, Manchester

"Building on the success of the previous Environmental Knowledge Exchange events held in Nov 2007 & Jan 2009, IEMA, in partnership with Envirolink NW will again bring together researchers and practitioners to generate knowledge together through interaction and exchange.

INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT & ASSESSMENT
27th January 2010, Manchester Conference Centre

Structured as a multi-disciplinary dialogue, the Knowledge Exchange provides a platform to discuss cutting edge research that deals with specific issues in the management of environmental problems as well as strategic and policy considerations regarding the natural environment. For researchers this entails disseminating their research, exploring how practitioners could put these ideas into practice, getting feedback on their research and discussing practitioner insights to further the research agenda.

Goals of the Exchange:
To provide a platform where researchers and practitioners can come together to generate knowledge and exchange ideas. Practitioners have the opportunity to hear and contribute to current research, gaining a strategic insight to push their own organisation forward. Build links between the research and practice communities, and form partnerships where appropriate. Provide researchers with a platform to ‘practitioner proof’ their research.
Collectively contribute to the development of the profession and research agendas."
