This conference for third sector health and social care leaders comes at a crucial point in transition, with stakeholders across the health sector shifting to adapt to the Government’s ongoing health reforms. The conference will update delegates on the shifting health and social care landscape and elucidate the opportunities and challenges for the sector at this time of great organisational change.
Mike Farrar, Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation is confirmed to give the morning keynote and the day will give specific focus to how third sector organisations can engage at a crucial stage in the formation of new systems in health and social care.
Three workshop sessions will provide an interactive space to discuss the early lessons learnt from GP Commissioning Pathfinder Schemes and consider how this new framework will affect the third sector. With dramatic changes ahead for public health, patient engagement and the funding of social care the day will provide an opportunity to hear from expert voices at the heart of these changes.
The day will be an opportunity to take stock, be updated on the latest policy developments, and above all hear and discuss how the Government’s NHS and social care reforms will work in practice

As we all take stock towards the end of this busy and challenging year ACEVO look forward to welcoming leaders from across the sector to our Annual Conference on the 17th November.
The conference programme this year has been designed to explore the current challenges facing Third Sector leaders and will give particular focus to the importance of a good relationship between the Chair and CEO and the successful management of an organisation into the future. An afternoon panel will feature a discussion between the CEOs and Chairs of three organisations, BTCV, UNICEF and the Churches Conservation Trust and will provide an interactive space to consider how their relationship, at the bedrock of governance in all of our organisations, can be fully utilised to progress the work we do to the heights that we all aspire it to.
Throughout the day there will also be 10 informative and interactive seminars which providing the opportunity to learn new skills to help lead and successfully manage your organisation into the future. There will be opportunities to ask questions of and share knowledge with your peers throughout the day and we hope that you will take this opportunity to utilise the shared knowledge, experience and expertise of the ACEVO network which we are so proud to represent.
