Storengy UK Limited is a new subsidiary of GDF Suez, in charge of the development of the Stublach project. This project consists of the development of a sub-surface Natural Gas storage facility within the Holford brinefield.
To demonstrate Storengy’s commitment to the environment and the local community they have set up an Environmental Fund of £20,000 to finance projects that have a genuine impact upon the environment. The areas that are eligible to apply for this fund are as follows:
Allostcock, Byley, Lach Dennis, Lostock, Rudheath.
Who is eligible?
If you live in one of the above areas and have an idea in mind for an environmental project then you can apply for funding. All applications will be reviewed, no matter the size or scope of the project. Examples of suitable projects include the installation of energy efficient light bulbs in schools, building installation improvements, solar panels for heating water, micro CHP, micro wind turbines etc.
Projects that do not qualify:
- Projects with the sole purpose of promotion or feasibility studies
- Projects that are non-sustainable
- Projects of a political or religious nature or projects that could endanger the environment
