Cheshire & Warrington ChangeUp Consortium Independant Chair

The independent Chair of the Cheshire and Warrington ChangeUp Consortium (CUCW) is a voluntary role. The Chair will provide objective leadership for the Consortium, championing its role and acting as an ambassador in its broadest sense.

Specifically the Chair will:

  • Chair four meetings a year of the Cheshire and Warrington ChangeUp Consortium (CUCW). Meetings are approximately every three months.
  • Work with the secretariat team to plan meetings and ensure actions agreed are taken.
  • Be aware of and where appropriate liaise with the Chairs of the other 4 North West ChangeUp Consortia.
  • Represent the CUCW Consortium as appropriate.

It is estimated that the time commitment will be around 7-10 days per year:

  • 4 days – attendance at Consortium Meetings
  • 2-3 days – work with the secretariat team by email and phone
  • 1-2 days – conversing with the other NW Chairs if appropriate
  • Any additional commitment will be through mutual consent of the Chair and Consortium members.

Candidates must be independent of all Consortium Member organisations.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a panel of Consortium Members.
The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to meetings. This role is voluntary, however travel, subsistence and out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed by Cheshire Community Action from the CUCW budget.

Urgently Needed !!

Do you have a car? Can you spare a few hours a month? If so Chester Community Car Scheme needs you.

This service provides a lifeline for elderly, frail or disabled people who don’t have a car and have difficulty accessing public transport.

Can you imagine not being able to get yourself to a doctor’s appointment, or due you’re shopping? Many people in Chester face this loss of freedom everyday. You can help change this.

We only ask for as much or as little time as you can spare. And it won’t cost you a penny. Chester City Council and Cheshire County Council pays for your mileage; all we ask for is your time.
