Village Agents

Village Agents first arrived in Gloucestershire as a joint project between our sister RCC and the County Council. By working with people in the villages, their support helped hundreds to people to increase their quality of life through linking them to new groups and services, helping to link to benefits that were due and linking to home adaptations.

All these services are available from many agencies and organisations in and around Cheshire, but often people do not immediately recognise that they have a need, nor that this support is available.

That access to support has been identified as an issue in rural areas as there are fewer people coming out to our communities so to provide a set of eyes and ears on the ground on a weekly basis will help all.

The pilot is starting in Tattenhall and Malpas. If you know of older or vulnerable people who would benefit from this service, or want to link your work into the project so we can signpost people to you, please contact Amanda Scarratt on 01606 350042 or Amanda.scarratt@cheshireaction.org.uk
